Adult Confirmation is a process of preparation designed to prepare adult candidates for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Confirmation, together with Baptism and Eucharist, form the Sacraments of Initiation, all of which are intimately connected. In the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized person is "sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit" and is strengthened for service to the Body of Christ.

The preparation consists of discussion sessions on related topics and other activities, including regular attendance at Sunday and Holy Day Masses. The program meets weekly beginning in January until Pentecost Sunday, when the Sacrament of Confirmation for Adults is normally celebrated in our archdiocese.
